Children and Youth

St. Peter's offers Christian formation through faith enriching classes and activities from pre-school through high school.  We welcome all families to become involved in encouraging their children to become involved  - whether brand new to the church or have attended for years.

Creative Arts Camp

June 10 - 14, 8:30 - 12:30 each day.  $80.00.  For ten years, St. Peter's has offered a Christian based Creative Arts Camp for children completing Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Drawing, ceramics, jewelry making, food art and dance are taught by qualified teachers for one week during the summer.

Music Camp

June 16 - 22, 2019.  Youth in rising grades 6 - 12 spend a week at St. Peter's and the Blinn Junior College Campus, living in community in the dorms and studying choral and instrumental music.  The program includes small group lessons, fun activities such as swimming at Blue Bell Aquatic Center and games at Horseshoe Junction and rehearsals for public performances.  It is staffed by professional musicians who are available to give students individual attention for improving their musical skills.

Christian Education

St. Peter's offer Christian formation through faith enriching classes and activities from pre-school through high school.  We welcome all families to become involved in encouraging their children to become involved - whether brand new to the church or have attended for years.

Children

Children's Sunday School begins at 9:15 am.  Sunday school programs are designed for "Building Faith - Block by Block".  The children listen to a Bible lesson and then build an example of the lesson with the use of Legos.  Part of the hour also is spent in the Children's Chapel where they say prayers and have a short service.

Kindermusik

Beginning music skills are taught to children ages one and a half to three years old by Dr. Linda Patterson, who is a Licensed Kindermusik instructor.

Youth

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) - Youth in grades 6 - 12 meet monthly for lunch, outreach projects, and fellowship.  They are currently helping an elderly gentleman maintain his house and yard.  Our youth are fantastic when it comes to outreach and helping others.

Youth Mission Trips

The youth regularly take trips to help those in need who live out of state and in Houston through the CUSE (Cathedral Urban Service xperience) program.  In doing so they gain an understanding of less fortunate individuals and the world around them.
